The Humane Society of Oldham County Fashion and FUReinds event

Fashion & FURiends is a fun new event taking place on Saturday, April 15th at the City Place in LaGrange, 10-2. This event features a fashion show starting at noon with local celebrities escorted by their own or an adoptable dog down the runway. The women will be modeling fashions by Absolutely Fabulous and the men will be modeling fashions from Sam Meyers. The event will start at 10am to give you time to visit the booths offering handmade jewelry, art by local artist and unique items.

Food trucks on site: Fresh Out of the Box Food Truck with their Asian style, Rollin' Ruby's Food Truck offering sandwiches and more!
Come join the fun as the models decked out in the latest fashions take a stroll down the cat walk with an adorable dog!
The City Place is a beautiful venue with large double doors opening up to the plaza outside.
General tickets are $10 with admittance the event and standing views to see the show, (Available online or at the event).
​VIP tickets are $15 with admittance to the event and seating at the runway for the show (Available only online).

SKILLS USA Car Show will be Saturday April 29th, from 10am until 2pm,
at the Bullitt County Area Technology Center, 395 High School Drive, Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
The fee to enter in Trophy Class is $10.  The classes are professional for Adults and amateur for Kids.
It's free and open to the public.  Stop by to roam and view the competition in Trophy Class.  Food and Drinks will be sold. 

Benefit concert for Abby

Benefit concert for Abby, Sunday April 30th at the Moose Lodge, 4615 Fegenbush Lane in Louisville.  Live music by Caribou, Soul Circus, Big Woody, Tim Deloney & Guy Lee.  Admission is $20 at the door.  Refreshments, raffles and silent auction.  All proceeds toward medical expenses for Abby Hill, currently battling Ewing Sarcoma (bone cancer).  Abby is the daughter of Kevin Hill, saxaphonist for Caribou.

Silks In The Bluegrass

The 9th Annual Silks In The Bluegrass in Derby Eve, May 5th, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  Non-stop entertainment by the Atlanta Showstoppers!  Tickets are $250 and include dinner, open bar and non-stop dancing.  Lounge tickets for open bar, dancing and light snacks are available for $85.  Visit or call 502-777-6300.  Proceeds benefit Operation Open Arms, an organization that benefits children whose mothers are incarcerated.

Salvation Army Hardin County Food Need

The Salvation Army Hardin County Service Center is in need of Non-Perishable foods to re-stock their food pantry.  The Salvation Army serves individuals throughout Hardin County; many in the time of their greatest need.
If you can help, please drop off food donations at The Salvation Army Hardin County Service Center, 1006 N. Mulberry Street, Elizabethtown from 10 AM to 2 PM Monday through Friday

Glendale Lions Club Pancake Breakfast

Come to the Glendale Springfest on Saturday, May 20th, and help the Glendale Lions Club and Warm Blessings Soup Kitchen.
The Annual Glendale Lions Club Pancake Breakfast will take place at the firehouse that morning and will sell pizza during Springfest.
They will be collecting non-perishable food items for KY Harvest and The Warm Blessings Soup Kitchen, bring donations to the Gazebo Band Stand at the Glendale Parking or the Warm Blessings Booth.
