Ben Bailey is new to afternoons on WAKY, but knows the area well, having been on the air in far western Kentucky as well as managing several radio stations in the mid south previously. Ben says,"being on WAKY for me is extra special because I got to play all these great songs the first time around when they were brand new. Goes to show you that the best music never fades away." Ben and his wife Adrianne have been together for nearly 25 years and have a small "petting zoo" of cats and parrots. When not on the air, you may catch Ben on occasional session work or with various groups as a trumpet player.
